What is a Scroll Saw?
A Scroll Saw is a small electric or pedal operated saw used to cut intricate curves in wood, metal, plastic or other materials. The fineness of the blade allows it to cut more delicately than a Jig Saw, and more easily than a Coping Saw or Fretsaw.
If you have ever seen a finely cut piece of wood art or wooden patterns and sculptures that made you say “WOW” then chances are it was created using a scroll saw.
A Scroll Saw is a great tool for Crafts/ hobbies that can be quite inexpensive. There are not many other tools necessary to be able to create very enjoyable pieces of art whether they be simple Jigsaws or complex designs that can take many hours to cut.
Definitely suitable for teenagers up to Seniors and both Male and Female. Beware though-it is addictive.
